Christmas Services and Events at the Fishermen’s Chapel

1st December: All age Holy Communion – 11am downstairs in the chapel followed by soup lunch.

8th December: Come and join us for our Christmas Gospel Service. We will have guest singers as well as our Fishermen’s Chapel Gospel Choir and The Monday Singers. Mince pies and hot drinks. Arrive early for a seat! 7 for 7.30pm.

14th December – 3-5pm : “Crackers and Carols” – a wonderful family event. Children can come and make crackers with hats, chocolates and their own jokes, all for only £1 a cracker! Deluxe Hot chocolate will be served for donations to the chapel. We will then gather round the piano for some traditional carol singing by candlelight.

15th December – Christmas Anchored 7.30pm , we will be watching a family Christmas movie with pop-corn and hot drinks, in our candlelit chapel with the Christmas tree lights sparkling. We will have a short time of prayer for others before wrapping up and going out into the night.

22nd December – 5pm “Midwinter Carols with The Famous Potatoes” This yearly popular event will have the chapel full of friends and families singing traditional and folk carols, with poetry and prayer. We will then have minced pies and mulled “wine” in our Community Room downstairs.

22nd December 7.30pm Mindfulness and Meditation will follow the Midwinter Carols for a time of peace and tranquility.

24th December / Christmas Eve – 7.30-8.30pm Come and light a candle for loved ones that have passed. The chapel will be hosted by Rev Heather. You are invited to come just to light a candle or to sit and stay. There will be soft music but no service, just a time to pray and be present and think of your loved ones before the celebrations of Christmas Day.

25th December / Christmas Day 10-10.30am Come and Join the Celebration! Rev Heather will lead a short and joyful all-age service as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
